Complexity is a puzzle.
Tackling complexity narratively involves first breaking it down into its smallest aspects, the puzzle pieces. This is the research and inquiry process. The how, what, where, when, and why of it all.
Once you define and understand the pieces and the greater framework they’re embedded in, you can start to build the narrative. That means developing a story framework that allows you to explore and establish the timeline, settings, characters, and plot as you research and create.
In XR, interactivity adds yet another layer to the story framework that turns it into a dynamic system - a narrative architecture that enables agency and affords audiences the opportunity to transform the puzzle pieces in ways the system creator cannot control.
As a narrative designer and architect, my work centers on turning complexity into story. From there, I can develop the concept and architecture for the medium of choice-print, web, podcast, film, XR experience-or a transmedia solution covering several distribution channels. As a narrative director and creative producer, I develop a production strategy to bring your product to life.
Let’s turn your complexity into a story for the world.
